Palletizing tooling is one of the first steps towards automating a machining process that must handle a large amount of dissimilar workpieces. The tooling allows an automation cell to be flexible by standardizing the work-holding interface between the robot and the workpiece. By implementing a precision tooling system into the machining process, we can enable all types of workpieces to be placed onto the individual pallets in the cell and loaded by the same robot.
